“For us to start listening to each other, I will have to give you a biography of the senses, a detailed explanation of how my faculties were slowly distorted.” – excerpt from Other Reflexes, Diana Georgiou

Directed by Evita Ioannou, the performance enacts Georgiou’s novel Other Reflexes through selected excerpts from the book, interwoven with sounds and visual traces of the places it evokes and the senses it awakens. The narrator transports the audience across various temporalities and locations, letting us into her memoryscapes, from a 90s gay club in Limassol, where lots of stories and friendships blossomed, to the intimate private sphere of her home, where childhood was marked by the sound of domestic violence. The performance aims to bring to life a book so rich to the senses that it has touched our core.

The performance was presented in November of 2025 for the Art Explora Festival.
