Evita Ioannou (b. 1988, Limassol, Cyprus) is a Cyprus-based director. She holds an MA in Theatre and Musical Theatre Producing and Directing from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a BA in Media Arts from Royal Holloway, University of London.
Her directing credits include 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche by Andrew Hobgood and Evan Linder, (MITOS Performing Arts Centre, 2021); The Nether by Jennifer Haley, (Paraplevros Productions, 2020); Out Cry by Tennessee Williams (Theatro Antilogos, 2018); and Dark Vanilla Jungle by Philip Ridley, adapted and translated by Ioannou (MITOS Performing Arts Centre, 2017).
In 2025, she directed People, Places & Things by Duncan Macmillan (SEZON Women), as well as Other Reflexes, a performance based on the book by Diana Georgiou, presented at the Art Explora Festival.
She has also worked as a Producer and Assistant Director on theatre productions in Cyprus and abroad, including collaborations with Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG), Sadler’s Wells Theatre, and the National Theatre of Cyprus (THOC) , among others.
